My Daughter's 3rd grade fundraiser!

It's that time of year again, BG! My daughter's 3rd grade fall fundraiser! You guys were awesome last year with helping her get some cool prizes, so I figured I'd post it here again this year!

It works the same way as last year. You order from the website posted below (make sure it has my daughter's name [Rayna] on the left side under student you're supporting) and the items get shipped straight to you!

There are lots of cool items again this year. Candies, kitchen gadgets, wrapping paper, and flower bulbs! Pictures below of some of the products~

The BIG prize this year is an Ipad 2. The tier below that is a TV!

This, was going to buy the gummy bears until I noticed it was 10 oz for $8.50 >.> Target sells 8 oz bags for $1. Hell of a mark up

Yeah my g/f make soy based candles that are like the ones in there and sells them for a fraction of what was listed. looked like a 8oz one in there for 18? She sells hers for 8.

School fundraiser items are always pricier. lol. Portion of it goes to the school -- Portion of it goes to the company.

Prices are the same/similar to the fundraiser I posted last year. =P

I work at a gift shop & all these prices are on par with ours. Soy & Beeswax candles are always expensive as fuck. Funny to see Johnny Cash listed as wearable jewelry. Do you have a Pinterest you could post this at? Bitches love Pinterest, especially ones with $$$.

Since people are jumping on me for this:

I am a HUGE minimalist. Like, really, I fit everything I own into a Hyundai Tiburon (small sports car) and moved cross country. I sell what I don't need or the big things each time I move. (Backstory.)

That being said: This stuff is all ridiculously priced for terrible reasons. They are making a huge profit on fucking chocolates and candles that for 1) I don't need. 2) If I wanted to donate to something I'd just go donate and skip the middlemen. and 3) I think it promotes wrong values. (And yes, some of it goes towards charities or whatever but they still make profit on the actual items.)

That being said, "Let's help my daughter get a TV" is not exactly the kinda thing that makes me want to help out. Your daughter is like 10. She doesn't need a TV in her room. Trust me on this.

As for Ayuriae: The kid makes no progress other than a new TV. Awesome. Shit, wish I had the internet back in my day to win shit with these damn fundraisers. /butthurt 90's kid

Honestly, depending on the kid, it can go either way. But, I'm just surprised the days have come where 10 years old have smart phones, ipads, and tv's in their room. (I'm old, fuck, man.) What happened to reading, playing outside, riding bikes man! WHAT HAPPENED

As a small edit: I AM sorry for raining on the parade you're bringing to BG. Many of BGers are kind, want, and able to help out, so I'm sure you guys will make it. And good luck. I just can't. :/
