Remember coming here afew months ago and seeing a post or 2 with no answers and people telling them to give up smoking, eat healthier etc socame back with findings.
I jacked off for years to porn and as a result got ED because of it. It's a hugely widespread problem and it's getting worse because it's not well known. So yes guys, jacking off to porn can give you erectile dysfunction! Even jacking off in certain ways using fantasy in your head can give you ED, like laying face down.
Not only can it cause ED but watching and getting addicted to porn (you may not even realize you are addicted) can effect your live in so many ways it's unbelievable. Here's a couple:
distress about escalation to more extreme porn
copulatory impotence (can get it up for porn, but not partners)
frequent masturbation, little satisfaction ("feeling like a lust-ball all day")
severe, worsening social anxiety
growing erectile dysfunction, even with extreme porn.
morphing porn tastes that don't match sexual orientation (HOCD)
inability to concentrate, extreme restlessness
Depression, anxiety, brain fog
I remember seeing a post in this thread like this so came back looking for it, if this helps even 1 person i'll be happy! 2 months ago i was a mess and was desperately searching for answers. I went to doctors, i saw specialists and all of them said i was fine so i was given viagra on a private prescription. But even then it wouldn't always work.
I then came across afew websites and everything became clear. Unable to post links as i just registered so i'll remove the first bit and hope a mod can add them for me.
Start on the first one and read it all, i started the reboot process a month ago and already noticing changes. You stick to no PMO (Porn, masturbation and orgasm) fight the urge to think about anything sexual even if it takes all your willpower. I came clean to my girlfriend and she was so understanding and is helping me through the process.
