About:config. Speeding up Firefox

Okay, awhile ago someone (wafik mabey) posted how to speed up firefox changing a setting in about:config.

I nither remember the name of the setting that was changed nor what it was changed to, but i do remember the nature of the modification

What it did was to increase the amount of times firefox requested information from the website. any help appreciated?
