Attestation Drop Rates

Right now we've been working for a month or two now to get an Attestation of Legerity for one of our NINs who has enough currency for Stage 5. We've killed the NM 5 times out of 5 tries, but so far we are 0/5 on the right attestation. I think we've got Attestation of Might 3/5 and Attestation of Accuracy 2/5.

I was just wondering if anyone else had similar bad luck in getting the right test to drop, or maybe if there was some trick to getting a certain test to drop? Anyone tested anything regarding this?

The only mob that can drop 2 attestations is the one for the shield.

All the attestation mobs have a chance to drop nothing at all, there was a SS on KI, same SS had him dropping an M.silver instead of attestation.

No it's not. Shield was added onto one of them because there was already 5 NMs with 3 each and they weren't going to add a new NM for it. Shield attestation drop rate is 1/3, and will always drop along side another one.

As mentioned, the shield does drop alongside other attestations only. You'll very likely never recieve *Only* the Attestation of Invulnerability. I wasn't aware that the attestation mobs were like DL where they can rarely drop nothing at all, though.

Our Saturday BCD run (the one where Nynja had a pic of RNG and BLM AF2 in the pool on the first set of pulls) included fighting Mildgeneaux, Goublefaupe, and Dagomarche. We were looking for katana, shield, and spear. The guy going for spear was like 0/10 on it.

And we got, katana, sword (no shield), and spear. There were some laughing because a guy who left the LS 6 months ago was 0/10 on the sword before getting it, and this one was (for the most part) rotted.

It was the best BCD run ever.

to the OP, same thing pretty much happened for me.

got 4 h2h and 1 gun before i finally got the katana.

though it's pretty tedious, there isn't anything you can do about it except try again.

There's actually somebody upgrading spear? How close is he to lvl 5? I'm really curious to see stats. As somebody posted in another thread, half the problem with drg is horrible WS. I'm really curious to see if the relic ws is worth a shit.
