So who's going to translate the morse code?
https://www.gameinformer.com/b/news/...y-fallout.aspxUpdate #3: We heard back from Bethesda regarding TheSurvivor2299.com. The publisher declined to comment on this rumor as per policy.
Update #2: More evidence suggesting that this website is a hoax has emerged. The domain resolves to a hosting company in Poland. The chances of Bethesda using a host outside of the United States are slim (as you can see on the BethBlog track-back here). Credit goes to Redditor xamphear for the trackback tip off.
Update #1: We've been alerted that the WhoIs profile does not line up exactly with other Bethesda-owned websites. Previous websites, like Bethblog.com, were registered by Corporate Domains, Inc. TheSurvivor2299 was registered through GoDaddy. There is a chance that this is a hoax. We've reached out to Bethesda to find out if they'll confirm one way or the other.
Can't wait for this game.
Well just hope they don't release it as buggy as Fallout New Vegas...
New Vegas was superior.
New Vegas was the better game by far but also had far more bugs/glitches/crashes than Fallout 3 did.
Both were buggy piles of shit. Both were amazing experiences of near-pure freedom. I fully understand that when it comes to programming, the lower the linearity of a game, the higher the number of bugs in it.
I'll just do what I always do and:
A) Buy it for PC to let the players fix what the devs never had time to.
B) Buy it months after launch to immediately play a relatively bug-free experience.
I could see it being boring on a console because you're restricted to only playing with the creator's vision. You can't use mods to enhance things or to summon your own personal army of all manner of people and creatures in the game and fight a war against thousands of random super enemies or other awesome things.
Just like with Skyrim, do yourself a favor and never buy open-ended games on consoles if there's a PC version. The PC community is absolutely incredible when it comes to taking a non-linear game and just going balls out with it.
I hear what you're saying and while I do agree, after a friend learned I finally bought skyrim for pc they said, "i love killing monsters with my light saber". I thought to myself, "that's why people love mods? For light sabers and to make female characters naked?" So far for Skyrim I've downloaded graphics mods and that's it. I don't need half naked elveen and light sabers and dragons shooting rainbows out of their asses to enjoy a game...
I was referring more to people making entire free expansions filled with warring NPC factions that do bloody battle in epic clashes of 300+ things onscreen, but yeah, yours works too. o_o
Words can not express how angry I will be if this turns out to be a hoax. I've been on pins and needles for to long waiting for any word on the next fallout game.
I am also looking forward to this myseld. Honestly the bethesda games that have been coming out, mostly all of them were amazing. To me, the bugs is what gives those games charm. C'mon, it can't be a bethesda game w/o the famous bugs that'll bring massive lols to all of us. I've played most of these games on the pc, and i don't regret it, despite the bugs, i never encountered anything that was gamebreaking.
backwards flying dragons only made the game better, imo
I loved sniping people down in the pittsburgh dlc of FO3 and seeing them ragdoll flying all over the screen. So many lulz were had.
