    Commentary
    • In its Normal state, Juggernaut checks itself for debuffs at the end of every turn. If it has any debuffs, it enters Steam Clean state.
    • In its Steam Clean state, Juggernaut uses Steam Clean to remove any debuffs, then returns to its Normal state.

    Incinerate hurts a little bit, but other than that try to keep up debuffs on it as Juggernaut takes quite a while to remove the debuffs in its Steam Clean form hence giving you a lot of time to deal damage

    Commentary
    • Caius starts the fight with 2 regular Attacks + Launch, and then Heart of Chaos (which does nothing other than for theatrics).
      The 2 attacks will always land on different targets, while Launch targets randomly (it can attack an already-attacked person).
      On the next turn, Caius will use a regular attack on a target that hasn’t been attacked yet.
      On the following turn, Caius will most likely use Body and Soul.
    • Caius gains SPD once he reaches 50% HP.

    Personally, I recommend bringing a Wall SB for this fight, his damage output is just insane without it, even after stacking Breakdowns. Recovering from his initial attacks is also important. You may need some resets if you’re unlucky.

    Caius’s SPD is high even before the 50%HP mark. Always plan ahead what your next turn is going to be so you don’t waste unnecessary time.

    Caius’s Body and Soul has to be dispelled ASAP, his regen will heal for ~9.2k per tick. Also, he gains ATK and MAG from this, so have your Break/Breakdowns at the ready. (Note that Body & Soul will overwrite any ATK+MAG Break effect, i.e. Agrias’s SB, Mog’s HH, Gordon’s Bell)

    Recommended abilities: Protectga, Shellga, defensive Breakdowns, Dismissal, Banishing Strike / Dispel
    Recommended RW: SG/SS2, Scream

    Apparently that's not a mistake, but one of Caius's attacks can cast reraise on himself? How would that work on a boss in terms of HP healed though?

    Edit: lol, just reread the commentary, apparently its just for show and does jack shit.

    Would it be safe to assume the reverse holds true as well, that saving any of these types of effects until after he buffs would replace the atk/mag buff with the debuff, thus making these SBs significantly more effective at mitigating than usual if timed right?

    Also, Wyrmfang on banner 2 is Vanille's relic, not Serah's.

    should, what the buff essentially does is overwrite any debuffs affecting those two stats.

    I hate it more because they feel the need to shoehorn the shitty "Time limit" difficulty crap that riddles that game by dooming everyone. Out of melee range is stupid too.

    Fought Caius with my jp party during the revenge thing, he is worse then Cagnazzo, he attacks extremely fast once he hits the 50% mark so if he ends up deciding to spam his multi hit attack and it hits one character, they'll likely be dead before you can even heal them, not to mention if he decides to self buff at any time, you lose all break effects and his attacks jump up to 2-3k even with Wall and buffs, not to mention he also gets free attacks on you at the start before you can do any actions.

    Edit: Forgot about the best part of fighting him, getting him to 50%, dispelling his body and soul, then spamming OSB on Cloud along with all my other SB, only for Caius to use body and soul > Giga-Graviton for 5k dmg to all even with Wall and buffs.
