What SKU's have backwards compatability? Sony fucked up hard(imo) taking that out, and its really difficult to determine which ones do have it.

Typically it says on the box, I know the new 80 gig ones have none whatsoever, and the run of them before that have limited capability. If you bought one recently that wasn't the MGS4 bundle, odds are you have no backwards compatibility.
i'm looking online, where the box isn't accessible.
Are you shopping new units, or potentially old backstocked units? Sony doesn't even produce any SKUs that have reverse compatibility anymore. I'll try and look up a SKU list, but odds are any PS3 you buy isn't going to have any reverse compatibility.

None of the ones they produce now have BC. Just buy a PS3 and a cheap PS2, it'll likely work out cheaper/just as cheap.
Edit: When I say no BC I mean PS2 compatibility. They all play PS1 games.
i have no problem going used. i just needed something to differentiate between the systems.
How did I overlook something as simple as Wikipedia? Curses, foiled again!
