Odd thing on COD4

Ok, so I can play COD4 online no probs (xbox360)

But when I join parties with friends and try to join a match it always gives me a connection error, my friends can connect but I get kicked out back to the lobby. However when I'm the party leader I can connect fine...

Getting baffled by this Anybody got any ideas?

I get that also, I think it means their in a middle of a match that is full or maybe the friend invite is old?

Tests your XBL connection from the 360, see what your NAT is. If it's open, you're fine and the problem is something else. If it's closed or moderate, this limits who you can connect to, and might explain it. You remedy this by forwarding ports or putting the 360 on the DMZ.

NAT is open, it was strict before and xbox was being all iffy about connecting to the network, so I straight disabled the firewall altogether. All ports are forwarded that I know of (TCP: 2869, 10243, UDP: 10280-10284, 1900)

Any other ideas?

I have this problem too. I opened all the ports that COD4 uses, as well as the XBL ports too, but still get problems with this. So how does one exactly go about putting their xbox in DMZ mode?

It's a setting on your router. Look for the DMZ option and it'll ask you for an IP. Put in the IP of your Xbox, hit apply, and you're good to go.

i'm not sure how their connection works when someone makes a game (ie if it's hosted by you, or hosted by xbl) but it sounds like your friend doesnt have all the ports open since when you make he can connect fine, and when he makes you can't connect
