Saw this the other day. Plot is all over the place with vague back stories on most of the characters. Ellen Wong (Knives!) was terrible in this. I haven't seen any of her other films besides Scott Pilgrim, but even for a horror flick her acting was pretty cringe. Main guy was the worst possible pick to play a cop. Everyone else was fine.

Not that I was expecting Oscar winning acting here. No real jump scares that I remember. Mostly just "that's fucked up" type of horror, which I think was the point. Gives a nod to old horror flicks with great practical effects over CGI.

Worth a look if you're a fan of old school monster horror.

I can't believe this is a movie that takes itself seriously. At first I thought it was satire
