PLD Equip Question

Which is better for a PLD tanking HNMs, a Bloodbead Ring (HP+50, I believe), or Jelly Ring (-5% Phys. Dam. +5% M. Dam.).

I don't even own a jelly ring so I can't really comment but finish CoP and get a Sattva Ring, its kinda easier to get then bloodbead if your ls is hardcore into CoP and the stats own anything next to defending ring for a pld.

It really depends on what you're fighting and what your HP currently is. If you have 1500+ go with the Jelly Ring, if you're below that number probably focus on boosting it some more. For kited mobs like Kirin you'd use the Bloodbead Ring, but for something like Byakko you'd find more use out of the Jelly ring.

The ideal ring setup is Defending ring + Jelly Ring for HNMs on the ground, then Defending ring + Minvera's ring(Merman's for now >.>) for flying Jormungand + Tiamat.

i use bloodbead+bomb queen ring for anything i earth staff tank as a nin

NIN can get -50% physical damage taken if they could have a defending ring. But who's gonna give it to a NIN?

A smart LS who knows NIN would get more use if they indeed tank 85% of their fights =P

Well actually most PLDs I've seen take NIN as their second job so really it's good in those hands.

I'd take one though if I had the chance to get my hands on it =P

I've started to level PLD now though....god help me.

OK. You have an excuse to have a Terra's staff. But, I see a bunch of people who have only tank jobs and no mage jobs that have Terra's staff. I just don't understand why a tank would get a Terra's staff over an Earth staff. It's not more damage reduction so it's pointless in having it as a tank. Even if you have the gil for it, it's a waste and can be spent on something better. I JUST DON'T GET IT...
