Disconnects every 30 minutes

I keep getting disconnected from FFXI every 30 minutes exactly.

Connection terminated messages; no r0.

Any thoughts?

EDIT: Earlier in the day I wasn't having this problem. I switched DNS servers before getting back on FFXI. I've switched them back to what I had this morning to see if that fixes it.

EDIT2: Nope didn't work, disconnects whole internet every 30 minutes.

Definitely sounds like a router problem, if it refreshes something every 30 mins (DNS? IP? I dont know exactly) it might kick you off, although it shouldn't do that.

My faulty Linksys router would do this back in 2008, which was very common. I don't use Cisco cheap-end routers anymore so I don't know if that is the case still. Problem that me (and others) were occurring was a defect in the MTU/some overflow problem. Thus causing the router to reboot at intervals every 30min or so.

Like I said, piece of mind. Not sure if this is the issue you are having.

Don't have a router. Connected to dormitory provider in college.

I get POL-2059. After googling, it might be spyware related. Also uninstalled avast! in case it's interrupting and because it's giving me shit for windower being a trojan.

It might be the ISP, they went down earlier in the day and they might've changed something. I've already called them up and put in a work order.

Can't connect to spybot so grabbing ad-aware to check for spyware.

i had that problem for a while, something about windows controlling the internet connection. my desktop has a wireless connection though.

if your problem just started happening i'd guess it's your isp or router, but if you've always had the problem it may be windows screwing it up. the windows zero configuration tool (default for windows) was disconnecting me about every 30 minutes.

I switched to wireless and no problems. Think the ISP fucked with something.
