FFRK - Record X, Beyond the Omega (Anniversary) Event & Strategies

This is a special challenge dungeon where you take on various bosses from different realms, and ultimately the iconic Nemesis from FFX. The event is split into 5 phases, each phase featuring a 3-boss boss rush. In addition, you can also challenge Nemesis right away, but however at a disadvantage. Initially, only Core classes (and relics) get synergy bonus for Nemesis.

You unlock synergy bonuses for other realms by defeating the other bosses in the respective phases.

Upon successfully clearing each phase's bosses, you will unlock synergy bonus for the respective realms for the Nemesis fight.

Nemesis uses 凶 Armageddon on his first turn and skips his second turn. He also has a very complicated and strict attack pattern past that point, but those are the most important things to know. Everything else can be dealt with in a normal manner.

Shadow Lord enters Magic Immune state at 85% HP. From that point onwards, every time he takes 15% of his total HP in damage, or takes his 8th turn, since the last time he changed immunities, he will switch from Magic Immune to Physical Immune or vice versa.

man the 180 is nuts. haven't cleared yet but i've gotten close using this setup:

faris - mug bloodlust/mbd, BSB, lionheart
    alphinaud - maduin/protectga, BSB, summon damage+30%
tyro - wrath/entrust, SG, ace striker
edge - powerchain/dismissal, last stand SSB, dr. mog
yshtola - curaja/shellga, asylum, mako might

    RW OK BSB

what usually ends up killing me is a poison tic queues to go after a last stand proc, but before the recast. gonna have to try and squeeze a regen in somewhere but i honestly have no idea where to fit it. best attempt so far got it down to ~20% or so.

    did 180 with um
Rajin - lifesyphon x2 - Aura, ace striker,
vanille - ultra cure/protectra, BSB, mako might
yshtola, curaja/shellga, BSB, knight's charge (no wall)
    Terra, wrath x2, OSB, battleforge
Onion, fullbreak, wrath, BSB dr. mog (with magic build)
    RW deployment tactics

dmg came from mostly from terra's obs and deployment tactics, I used Rajin sparingly to avoid counter and Onion's cm2 was meh at best,
    vanille's bsb was mvp

made a few tweaks and beat the 180, mainly just swapping bloodlust for PBD and adding in some native SBs. having both defensive breakdowns on faris is annoying because of the redundancy, but FBD isn't ready before damage starts ramping up and having a breakdown on for the first armageddon helped me stay ahead of the incoming damage.

had to entrust a bit of bar to alph so he could also cast deployment tactics, and changed the RW to sheepsong.

honestly not sure how i'll pull off the infinity though. my two main DPS best suited for this fight overlap realms with other crucual roles (alph/ysh and rydia/edge). i guess i could go double healer with eiko & aeris since i have bursts for both of them, haven't triple-broken the latter yet though.

    Ramza - Full Break/MBD
    Yshtola - Curaja/Wrath

TBH I banked on being able to MBlink the Ultimas as they were the biggest pain to deal with as long as he didn't spam that Slow/Poison/Attack -% shit at me. Beat it pretty clean on the 180, had a few S/L's and such.

Not even gonna bother the ??? until the RS bug is fixed and then I'll go and setup a Last Stand group.

Was able to do 180 on my second try with some minor tweaks to my A team.

    Celes SSB/BSB w/ Love's Wake RM
TG Cid OSB w/ Azure Blade RM
Ramza Shout / Mako Might RM
Y'shtola Asylum w/ Dr. Mogs Teachings RM
    Beatrix BSB w/ Battleforge RM

    Y'shtola RW Stoneskin

Normally I have Dr.Mog's Teachings on Beatrix but with that move he starts with well...

I'm not sure about what I will do for ??? when I use TG Cid and Ramza... Figure maybe I'll replace Ramza with Tyro and use sentinel grimoire and just RW Shout.

I would skip shout for the infinity version, its ultra spark attack which is spammed will overwrite shout's attack buff (replacing +50% with -15% atk). Onion's BSB or similar would work better.

    Cleared infinity with this:

    SBs used:
    Onion - BSB + OSB
    Tyro - SG + BSB
    Yuna - BSB2 + SSB2
    Alphinaud - SSB1
    Raijin - SSB1

Used a turtle strat, using deployment tactics reflect for the bulk of the damage, with onion OSB to help finish it off (hit for ~50k a shot). Needed favorable enough starting ATB to get proshellga + haste +wall and then defend before the first boundless ultima or else the level 80s weren't surviving. First vanille BSB RW was used after the first boundless ultima, then I used the second in an oh shit moment during phase 2. As the picture shows, it was damn close (the kill shot came from a full break doing 800 damage with Tyro at 1% HP and last stand off)

EDIT: First hall of fame results posted, and they arent even trying to screen out the cheaters... https://ffrkstrategy.gamematome.jp/g...Over%20Nemesis

I'm sure death, quadruple foul, pressure point, bladeblitz, comet, etc are great abilities for taking down nemesis

    They added this

*Some players are believed to have performed actions that are not permitted in order to complete the Hall of the Beyond - Infinity dungeon, and have been removed from the list.

Yea they seem to have dropped a few, so I cant say they arent trying, though the top 4 are still clearly bogus.

Hmmm. Maybe I'll use Alphinaud as my backup healer instead.

Took the 180 down fairly well with this, though I'm sure I'll get my shit pushed in on ???.

    Spoiler: show

    Cloud - BSB2/OSB
    TGC - BSB/OSB
    Wakka - BSB
    Tyro - SG
    Y'shtola - BSB

Haven't attempted yet, but thinking some sort of mage team.

Tyro with Dr. Mog and Multi and Phys break dances
Alphinaud with Mako Might for Deployment tactics and 5* Nukes
Rinoa with 5* nukes and OSB
Terra with 5* nukes and OSB
and Asylum bitch with Curaja and Protect

I could have bought an 11 pull and have 1000 gems left over, but all I got was this silly title.

Just remember that bringing both Alphinaud and Y'shtola will boost Omega's stats.

Didn't see that part. I could ditch Y'shotola and use Vanille's burst for healing as well.
