i looked at my screenshot file to find someting but i saw an old screenshot, its reminded me to ask that question about sky god's wind.

last god run that i went we did only 2, genbu frist then byakho. i got the wind off genbu, i was on lolbrd. i know the use of the winds etc its not the question. my question is is there any special thing with winds that allow you 100% hit or near that, cuz me on brd with lvl1 throwing landing that with 0.3 skill up using archer prelude made me lol alot.

so i got lucky or its just normal with those winds? then i bought 3 winds from some bazaar to see for fun the dmg on rabit in windi, 0/3 did hit. maybe its luck, or a special thing vs god? i never really bothered to get those -1inventory item on my sam or blm or brd before

Might have been pure lock, RNGs usually throw em because of Unlimited Shot, so the wind is not wasted if it does miss. You might have been extremely lucky, but I don't know because I've never thrown one before. lol

cue the pic of RustyMetal hitting Vrtra as a level one THF with dagger and getting a .4 skill up. Its a total numbers game and sometimes you just get ridiculously lucky.

With capping throwing sharpshot and double prelude I still occasionaly miss Suza, Byakko and Seiryu...

Parsing would state otherwise... skill does affect an overall performance. However there's always a chance, however small it can be that you fall within that 1% or something that ignores the skill/accuracy/etc...

for ranged accuracy / accuracy, skill in throwing / bow / melee wep and stats such as agi / dex don't matter as much as you think. What matters most is how much ranged accuracy / accuracy you can stack on through gear, preludes/madrigal, or job traits (RNG/DRG). The brd's example however, is still a stretch and I'd say luck in this case, but then again it is genbu...

Even if you had 10 skill in bow and negative 50 agi, but had 5000 rng acc, you're not gonna miss.

I've seen BLMs toss a wind from seiryu at byakko before, for example, and it hit. Yet the very next fight, they toss a wind at genbu and miss.

Yeah no player or mob has 100% evasion regardless of stats differences, so you are bound to hit sometimes no matter the situation.
