Playing audio from different apps to different outputs.

Is there any practical way to force different programs to play through different outputs? What I'm trying to do is make most of my shit play through my speakers, but output from skype, TS, vent, and the like go through my headphones.

In vent you can change the output device.

Still doesn't stop every other sound on my computer playing through both.

You need 2 seperate sound devices, I'm guessing you already have that set up. Set the default device in windows to the soundcard that has the speakers, then set all 3 device options in vent to the soundcard with the headset. I do this and it works fine. I don't know about doing it with TS and skype but it shouldn't be a problem as most programs that use audio allow you to chose what input/output device to use.

If you set it properly and it's playing through both I dunno what to tell you other than that's pretty damn impressive.

I got it fixed. I don't know why it was playing through both, it fixed itself after I went back into the windows option, set it to the headset, and then set it back to the speakers. Weird.
