I think, the most I've EVER had at one point in the game, was 27M. Friend quit, gave me dusk gloves +1, and I sold them after playing with them for a little while.

Now? I'm currently at 6.2M, which I'm keeping a hold onto for a while. I don't really have anything to spend my gil on and things I want now are Rare/EX anyway.

Between both of my characters, ~3.5M. Most I've ever had was just shy of 20M during inflation, friend quit and gave me a few goodies that I sold, then I turned around and spent it on stupid items at stupid inflation prices... if only I held onto it. =(
