The only elvaan with that kinda gear (well, d.ring) I know on Garuda is Opeth.

The original player quit some time ago, gave the account to a RL friend or relative who played the account for about half a year before the character vanished once again.

The account couldn't have been in Demo on Garuda, mostly since the LS had already moved to Kujata when Opeth was active for the second time on Garuda and the original player had been in a different HNMLS.

So, f I had to guess I'd say it's someone who bought the account recently.

There used to be an Arogan on Garuda a while ago (I wasn't even 75 at the time, so figures), he was a Hume RNG 75 (Raichan should've remembered him, he did a couple Dynamis runs with us in Gov's LS, Burrito) and as far as I recall he was a pretty clueless player as well as a shameless RMT (Wartex and Josh/Shredder style if you know what I mean); I wouldn't be surprised at all if he ended up buying Opeth's vacant account and rerolled as Arogan on a new server. Who knows though.

Besides, I was merely answering to Tyra's post in a jesty manner and whilst looking for Burrito (disastrous, albeit hella fun) Dynamis runs screenshots I stumbled upon a couple stills depicting Arogan's old character.

I couldn't care less about this dude, nevertheless I bet I was right; there have never been many Defending Rings on Garuda (let alone on Elvaans 6B belonging to english-speaking players, PLD/RNG/WAR/BRD/NIN 75, no less - sauce: ffxiah.com), Opeth's toon had exactly the same skin, the same 75's and was one of the very few non-JP players to own all of the aforementioned items (that character is easily recognizable by those who've actively participated to the HNM scene on our server) and he quit some time ago handing out his account to a misteryous friend who disappeared shortly after.

Hasn't your friend claimed to come from Garuda? Could have it been just an impressive sequence of coincidences? Your call since, as stated above, I don't give a damn about either of you, I just happen to have an exceptionally good memory for this kind of stuff. If I was Belkin I wouldn't touch it with a ten-foot pole tho, I despise RMT's.
