Wish they would REmake them[2-3] like they did with RE1 on gamecube. It was fan fucking tastic.

I can do without 4, it wasn't a good RE game but a great action game. Played it enough on Gamecube. Also just picked up Code: Veronica for Gamecube a few weeks ago and have never played it before, so I don't think I'll be getting that one either.

I agree with 2 and 3 needing the REmake treatment.

Yeah on the same bandwagon. Don't really see myself replaying these games ALTHOUGH RE:CV was my second Resident Evil. Sadly I don't remember that much about it except Nosferatu and how fucking difficult the last boss was for me. I didn't like Leonardo Dicaprio in this movie.

The burning man in RE4 scared the shit out of me. I still enjoyed the game for what it was though since RE is only really scary the first playthrough anyway.

Resident Evil 4 HD and RE: Code Veronica X HD infect the US this September

Fresh news out of Comic-Con for zombie hunters and presidential-daughter-babysitting-simulator enthusiasts alike: the previously announced HD remakes of Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil: Code Veronica X will be shambling and moaning onto US shores this September.

RE4HD lands on September 20, with Code Veronica X HD's charmingly incomprehensible plot following a week later on September 27. That's a few weeks after the far superior Japanese launch, not that we're bitter or anything. Both titles will be available at your local brick & mortar, through the PlayStation Network and as Xbox Live Games On Demand titles.

Looks like all they did was dial up the resolution and hoped the source textures full detail makes them look better and not worse with the extra clarity. Veronica looks horrible, but I want to try it out regardless, so I'll probably be waiting on a sale on the pack, as I already beat the shit out of RE4. Any word on RE4 having PS Move support btw? Game was infinitely more enjoyable on the Wii for me with its pointer set up than it was on the GCN.

actually, the wii version of RE4 has amazingly precise controls and it's significantly easier to score headshots than with either the gamecube or ps2 versions. Unless they're changing something significant about the aiming system there's no way either controller will be as accurate as the pointing mechanic of the wiimote. Supposedly RE5 gold edition for Move wasn't even as responsive as RE4 on Wii was, if that tells you anything lol

RE5? Hope you're aiming somewhere near the center of the screen when you hit the trigger button, otherwise your screen start a turnin'.



Granted it could also just have been a bad implementation. Only game I've played so far (of my very limited collection of Move-enabled titles) that did pointer-controls right was MAG, and that was with some tweaking of its options.

Never played 4 but always wanted to try it, heard a lot of good things. I loved CV for PS2, wouldn't mind going through it again, I still prefer the old style of REs over 4/5 but I do wish they'd have had moving and aiming at the same time like they added to the Outbreak games.

I did have to resynch my move controller a few times on Gold Edition, but there is 1 thing i can say. My girlfriend and her brother played through RE5 tons of times and it was my first Resident Evil game. Felt like I was on par with them(aka Easy mode) with the move controller!

I tried the Wii version, and it was very awkward using the remote, and having to press two buttons whenever I wanted to shoot, especially when the aim corresponded to what is normally the trigger button. That and the delay with the target made it very annoying.
