    lvl 70 latent earrings

    What is the latent on the lvl 70 earrings? HP right? is it 50% or less? Looking at the Drake Earring I never see any Drgs solo in it and trying to figure out why.

    Level 70 latent earrings trigger in Red health. Thus they are worthless for anything besides trying to beat down on maat (and event then...)

    ok so orange must be 25%-50% then yeah that makes sense. yeah it fails...was thinking it was 50% or less on this stupid thing

    Latent is also activated when you take an attack that would put you into that red health (I think 25%?). So on the -Damage Taken ones, it should help prevent being one-shotted.

    I could us it for skilling go /pld dont use any of the helmets or wyvern HP max gear....but I find that im not that bored yet

    The only 70 earrings with some fun value are whm nin n blm.

    Minstrel's Earring does the same thing as Medicine Earring and Sorcerer's Earring, and the effect on Conjurer's Earring is similar though less potent. Why is it more fun on WHM and BLM?

    Minstrel's Earring owns for ballista. I go BRD/RDM with kabuto, osode, jelly ring, cheviot's cape, minstrel's earring, terra staff, af+1 gloves. Besides my huge VIT boost I'm sitting at 30% Physical Dmg Reduction (50% in red HP) along with stoneskin, p4, phalanx, blink, and minne 4. Takes the whole team to kill me <.<

    It's red HP and less than 100% TP.

    The latents remain in effect once you hit red HP. Remaining engaged on the mob ( even if cured ) your latent will stay until you die, or become disengaged. This is extremely benificial for Ninja in particular.

    The only time I ever used the latent NIN earring was for the Excavation Duty assault. I'd go outside and let a Colibri hit me down to red HP, put on /blockaid (I learned that one the hard way -_-; ), and +20% haste go!

    Because WHM and BLM have a decend enhancing skill for RDM sub PHALANX. SMN/RDM and BRD/RDM will have a dmg reduction of around 9 only which is still nice to have but doesnt even block off kraken clubs in Ballista.

    Seriously go try it. I use it on ninja, and is most aparent on my Utsusemi timers. A Bard friend told me of this, I to was skeptical, but tried it and it worked just great. for T2T this is indeed amazing on ninja.
