Rank 15 mani feet vs Thaumas nails for SSpiral?
1 dex 1 DA vs 10 str, 1 attack (+ the attack from the str) in acc capped situations? and I'm assuming will win for acc uncapped easily
Manibozho Boots will pull ahead
fair enough, mani it is.
What's your opinion on Whirlpool/thaumas/Brego/Mani/Mani?
I was gonna wait on mani hands till they dropped since we do shark runs often enough; so just picked up brego since they were 30k
Will that work for now with windbuffet considering the attack/acc we got added to oatixur this update?
Yeah, should be fine.
That's exactly what I use Veg and I cap acc on shark/tojil (I'm permaRNG for bee) with RCB/carb
Uhm.. so you close the random questions thread.
And make a new random questions thread. (with temporary replacing random)
I think there was a lack of communication between moderators here lol.
Pretty sure its to ease us into it without having everyone run around with their hair on fire.

Kind of an extension of CreamSoda's question:
With all the new gear, other than Thaumas Body, do any other Thaumas pieces have any use to MNK?
Only thing I can come up with is the hands being a very situational piece (i.e. if you're /NIN for some reason, or either /RDM or /WHM for exploration or whatever)...
I could see the head still being potentially useful, but I'm not sure for what.
Hopefully that also means the Spam section is getting closed.
What are the defense values of the delve bosses? If it's known that is.
I can't justify any of the pieces. Hands are too situational to eat an inventory slot. Feet are better than Manibozho for Shijin at least until Mani gets ranked up a few times. Legs are bleh and Head used to be a good Vsmite piece. Then Nemetona Cap existed. Then Thurandaut came out. Now Uk'Uxkaj exists. Oh, and Verethragna are bad now, so all of that is basically irrelevant until REM update or SE releases Empyrean WS (ohgodyespls. Conqueror with Ukkos lulz)
I stopped carrying Usu feet +1 for MNK, which is a shame because that whole set looks sexy. I think the feet might still have a use in some SAM TP sets though
Is there a list somewhere of the new foods/effects that came out in the last ~5 updates or so? With crazy new stats out the ass, trying to figure out what's worth using on mage jobs.
What about breaking the random questions off to a subforum? That way you get the best of both worlds. Searchable topics that don't clutter the main discussion area and bump "important" megathread topics.
This thread exists because closing the RQT here and expecting people to immediately switch to topic creation when the RQT used more than hourly at times, especially shortly after an update, was a poorly thought out decision no matter the reason.
I'm not entirely sure on the status of a Q/A section, but I'm pretty sure Ragns was agreeable, so it's probably what's going to happen.
I've read something on another forum
Is this anywhere close to real or just the wet dream of someone who doesn't have a clue how these things work?Inventory in FFXI uses values from "00" to "FF" hexadecimal. Those are 256 values.
Each item actually occupies two slots, so that's really 128 slots total.
8 slots are either empty or used for something else.
This leaves us with 120.
80 is what we normally get, 40 are used for the so called "temporary items".
But in reality these 40 slots gets used only for the main inventory.
Mog Safe, Storage, Locker, Satchel and Sack are all "copies" of the inventory, structure-wise.
This means that while the SE dev bros would be unable to unlock those 40 slots for the main inventory, they could easily unlock them for the other repositories allowing us to store up to 120 items in each of them
You can have 50 temporary items in Abyssea, and (80+50) * 2 is greater than 256. If his basic info about the data is structured is wrong, then I would disbelieve everything else about his claim.
