Cracking Shells: Bastok-S Campaign BCNM

Good afternoon,

It seems the Campaign BCNM for Bastok-S opened this week on Quetzalcoatl. Unfortunately, I'm not finding much information available on it, or battle strategies/testimonies, aside from a general description. From what I know thus far, the fight takes place in Beadeux-S, vs Za'Dha Adamantking and three helpers (Di'Mho Platekeeper, Zi'Bhe Gauntletkeeper, Zo'Bha Helmkeeper).

As far as strategy goes, all know is, when the fight opened, I saw a lot of Jpn players in the zone, with lots of BLM and RDM, as well as PLD, COR, and BRD jobs present. Kind of difficult to recruit party members, too.

Im assuming this BCNM works out like the other two where you keep the adds asleep while your DD take down Za'Dha. The only difference is that the BCNM is pretty small meaning the repopping adds would always be pretty closeby. I guess you could hold them in the adjacent hallway to where you start to keep them away from everyone else.

Low on dd power and the sleeps started wearing off quick or resisting. I was out of range of his aoe tp move a few times(not sure what it was called). I think it was doing about 300-500 damage (to me as rdm buffed). I was focusing on keeping the adds sleep , so I didn't pay too much attention to anything else. Maybe Guppy can add more info about the fight.

Just to add, with 4-5 blms , I think this bc would be very easy.

I'm assuming it's the same arena as the SNM fight for Zha Gho's Barbut, if that's the case devoting a super tank to kite around the tiny walls in the arena with a healer watching him, while the others focus on the boss may make it easier?

That shouldn't work. If this is anything like the two other Campaign Ops BC then the adds /assist the boss

The NM generally did not close to melee, and instead did Ore Toss at range. Occasionally, he would do a powerful AoE Ore Lob, and from what I can see, that move is what wiped us. I'm not sure if shadows reduced Ore Lob damage any, but they were all wiped after.

The helpers were all mages, and mostly casted from range as well.

Hm, that's word for word the same engage/defeat lines as the Za'Dha Adamantking in Qulun Dome in the present save the "Grauberg" replacing "Jeuno".

Having defeated the other 3 Beastman Stronghold offensive Ops, I'd really like to try this ... but it's never ever been opened on Cerberus 'cause Bastok sucks.

it took a small group, 10-15, JP's to unlock it in 12 hours. They had started at 10pm cst on Saturday.

Nope, you pretty much hit the proverbial nail on the head.

The only Notable drops are the G.Axe that has -%damage taken, and the Airy Buckler(Thf/Dnc/Pup) Shield.

SE really hosed Bastok, some of the Allied note items are ok, but there's little no no reason to be anything but Sandy in the past...

Anyone know what the proc rate on the GAxe is? I'd take a rough estimate.

Edit for posterity:
Talked to a JP who had this in his bazaar, he said that the proc rate is similar to Joyeuse during Campaign. Makes it the best Campaign weapon by far.
