Some Unanswered Sea Trigger Questions

I've read through most of the threads here but there's a few unanswered questions regarding the lottery Trigger NMs (Temperance, Ix'DRG, Ix'DRK).

Temperance
1) Rumors still floating around about whether or not he can pop on the 2nd (Ebon Panel) floor. So far I personally have only seen him pop on the first floor.
2) Has anyone successfully popped him by killing the same Pot over and over? All the times he's popped it was on the first kill of that particular towers pot. It almost seems as if he's guaranteed to pop if the window is up. However, there have been times where nobody was in the palace for 6+ Hours, and we cleared all the towers with no pop. Has any sort of rhyme or reason been established as to what exactly the conditions for popping are? We've also noticed that sometimes one of the towers doesn't have a pot in it, is there a reason for this? (I think 2nd floor Mithra was empty) Do you think that perhaps killing one of the escort pots could potentially spawn Temperance in one of these empty towers?
3) Lastly, what is the repop timer on him? After successfully killing Temperance, how long must you wait before being poppable again? Has anyone ever had him pop in rapid succession?

1) Typically our BLMs pop this while manaburning in sea. However, was just curious if anyone has discovered a more exact popping method besides "kill stuff and hope you get animosity"
2) Also just to confirm, the ??? will respawn very quickly after killing him, meaning you could potentially pop him twice in a short amount of time?

1) Same as IxDRK. Is there more to this than just sheer luck?
2) Confirmed to pop almost back-to-back, so I assume there is no repop timer.

Temperance
1) SeaShell has popped and killed 19 temperances on the first floor. We've never tried the basement.
2) We always moved to a different placeholder, and we've never encountered an empty PH spot on the ground floor.
3) I'm not sure about the repop timer because we've never tried to get it twice in one day.

Temperance is 100% on the virtue, but Hope has been more generous for us than it has been for you... so we haven't needed to devote days to farming temperance exclusively. We usually just kill its PHs on the way to finding Ix'MNK. If it pops, great. If not, oh well.

1) We haven't found any rhyme or reason to the animosity.
2) Yes, we've gotten 2 Ix'DRKs within an hour.

IxDRG
1) We haven't found any pattern to this either, but we seem to have more luck popping it when we split up into two skillup/merit alliances--one for the two rooms on the east and one for the two rooms on the west.
2) Yeah, we got two of these in one run too--I think Map posted about that in another thread.

Huge correction.. Temperance is most definately without a doubt NOT 100% drop on the virtue; we're 1 out of our last 3. Such a timesink and it's tough to keep people motivated for sea because of Temperance alone.

Other than that, I haven't rapidly popped any of the lotto NMs myself, but do know that when/if you do see Ix'DRG and you don't aggro him and let him depop.. it's not like KV depopping; he repopped quickly within the next 2 rooms.

My LS is 2/2 on Virtue from Temperance >.>

The only things that seem 100% for my LS are either a Deed or Vice from Ix'Drk, Ix'Mnk, and Ix'Drg. Temperence seems to have a far higher drop rate than Fortitude. Justice and Hope seem to have a worse drop rate than Prudence.

Temperance - can't confirm on either. My LS kills on both floors anyway though, and we haven't bothered to go for the pots again after we've killed Temperance.

Ix'DRK - Small groups pop it fast. Large groups, well, pray something good is on TV.

Ix'DRG - opposite of Ix'DRK

We've been trying to pop Ix'DRG for a long time, but nada. Its pretty frustrating.

We usually start on the ramp/side to avoid adds, but we often fight the last aern of the room in the middle because people are superstititious and for easier access to the ??? afterward.

Assuming Temperance hasn't been changed in this respect in the last 5 months (probably hasn't), and assuming he doesn't have any PHs in the basement (doubt this), and assuming he's not just regular lottery (highly doubt this)...

then his 'downtime' before he can pop again is at least 1 hour (we gave up after an hour).

We kill the Aerns right next to the ???. We pull Aerns from all over the place, meaning the NE and NW spots are the best for popping it because there's a lot more Aerns nearby.

We did a run a couple months back where one of our BLMs wanted to try soloing 1 placeholder while the rest of the group checked out the other spawn points. After a little while he eventually popped it before we managed to get the group all the way through the Palace. I don't know how many place holders he killed, but it was definately more than 2. After he popped it he tried kiting it around the Ebon Panel room while we all rushed to him, we didn't make it in time as he died while running and it eventually depopped. He went back to soloing while the rest of us went and did something else (I think another Fayth or Fortitude). By the time we were done an hour or two later, he was still at it and we started heading to make another round at the towers in Palace, luckily this time he popped it right as we started out and we could get to him fast enough.

So, it can be popped by killing the same place holder over and over again, it was awhile ago so I don't recall the exact downtime after the depop, at least an hour though. Seems like you don't have to go around and check all the PH's if you don't want to, almost as if the PH moves from tower to tower until you kill the right one at the right time (which would explain why you can see no one there for hours and still not pop it after checking every place holder at least once).

Nynja, Roranora: Did you guys do anything differently on the Temperance kills that didn't drop virtue? I just assumed it was 100% because we are 19/19... Better yet, does someone have a screenshot of the virtue not dropping?

You guys are just really lucky, we've had numerous Temperances not drop Virtue.
