    skype white noise/static on calls

    i just recently upgraded my motherboard/ram/processor. didn't change any other hardware. i didn't have a problem with skype before but now there's non-stop background static on my calls on both sides.

    i'm using the onboard sound, mobo is intel dz77gal-70k.

    could use some help, thanks

    Did you update your drivers for the new mobo?

    If it's something specific to the soundcard you could always just grab a cheap USB soundcard and plug your headset into that. It's what I do.
