De-leveling and locking Subcrafts - Artiscan -> Craftsman

Back in the day I thought it was a great idea to goto Artisan to get 71 to hit the next tier on synths, but now that I am 110, and that skill is back down to 70 but still Artisan so when I am doing something with subcraft it will bring it to 70.1 and my main craft down to 109.9, especially annoying when I need the 110 for the next tier. Been running with it abit but got to where I was 70.5 and 109.5.

Is there anyway to downgrade you craft back to a Craftsman once you have gone to an Artisan

yes, talk to your 110 guild NPC (the one you turn in the upgrade item every 10 levels). He/She will give you the option to delevel your other crafts to Craftsman.
