Cool GM? wth o_O

So I was doing the MKD mission that requires you to farm up those "orb" key items and pop the cardians. I farmed up all 4 and was heading to the alliance I was in to fight the cardians. I was still a grid away and they popped it. I kept getting this message right away saying, basically, if I didn't hurry the fuck up and get in range, I wouldn't get credit for the fight. Even though I was out of range, my key items were consumed when the mobs popped. I lost the key items, couldn't join, and didn't get credit. Awesome. I called a GM. I knew he wouldn't be able to give me my key items back, so I refarmed them all. Right before I was about to pop the cardians, he says hi and pops up. This is the convo between the two of us afterwards (the first couple lines is cut off. ). It's worth reading. lol

It looked like he lost his key items. Most of the time when you are too far away you are just prevented from entering.

Yeah that one takes your key item no matter how far you are. I wonder if ANNM are the same.

It almost happened to me, too, but I happened to be close by when the guy popped it and was able to get in range in time. Of course, then I sat there and waited while the other 4 people re-farmed key items to do it again.

I didnt think it was that bad of a quest at all. Joined up with a random person there, kill for about 5 minutes and got all four orbs. Now only if I had known I needed a QC map..

I just wanted to report the problem, in case things weren't 'working as intended'. Apparently, they weren't.

I had this happen to me as well... I spent nearly an hour farming the orbs only to have some guy pop the fight with everyone too far to do the fight...

I had no trouble joining an alliance of 9 random JP players with different linkshell colors.

Worked immediately. I even succeeded in asking other solo JPs if they wanted to team up, and then had the leaders invite them. Everyone seemed to know that teaming up = faster orbs for everyone, so the party invites were flying all over the place.
