Anyways, have any of you noticed crazy spike damage when unloading "in your face" MS's ?? When I'm farming Sylvan Stones, I'll use it sometimes, and I'll get crazy damage...like 1300 straight up, no food nothing (standard return) and sometimes it'll lay out a stinker for 150.

Means you crit on WS , 1300 while head on should mean it crit+triple attacked (or double/brutal).

Unlike DE/Evi, MS generally sucks unstacked, well for me anyways. Unstacked in xp will give me numbers like 200-600, while the others are more 400-1200

I believe it's said that all Relic Weapons (or just their WSes) have the chance to do 2-5-fold normal damage. Maybe this is the case?

8349 Knights of Round later I can explain every WS dmg from 91 to 1200

and none of them were zomg enough to say the relic critical kicked in during WS

Don't lie, your highest WS parsed at something like 1100.

I haven't had this happen, because TBH I almost never use straight up Mercy Strokes. If it was a standard TP return like you said, the the only thing I can think of is either that the WS itself can crit, or that you got a triple damage proc on the WS. I'm leaning towards the first one, since that would explain why it never happens when stacked with SA or TA (since those guarantee crit).

The war's are asking for Madrigal? I'm just hoping you're eating meat if you're also getting a madrigal in party...

And like Wafik said, it means you got a natural critical on your WS. Not that I have experience with the dagger (just ws) but yeah, that's how things should work.

Since you're farming Sylvan Stones, you'll be fighting a lot of Bugbears. Could their Guard proc on some of the hits in your Weaponskill to produce your stinkers?
Conversely, Bugbears also use Counterstance, which could account for your 'crazy damage' Mercy Strokes. 8)
