- Square Enix revealed new details in Final Fantasy Tactics: Shishi Sensou for PSP, in addition to the Onion Knights, the game will also have the job class Dark Knight, and Balthier from Final Fantasy XII, as a playable character in the game. Balthier will play an important role in the game.

Wow Balthier as a playable character is pretty awesome.. but still it is kind of cheap ploy by SE/Sony to get people to buy PSPs ... it might work for me

They did just that. He was even met a flower girl by the name of Aeris right before joining your group.

Problem was, most of his skills were sub-par and you got him at level 1 at about the time most of your main characters were in the 40s, making him a bitch to level.

Also, GODAMNITKSJBHDJSDB. I was sure that I would have been able to avoid buying a PSP my whole life with no regrets, this is the first thing to make me consider otherwise...I'll get one used somewhere, $250 just makes me angry when I know there's a good chance it will be the only thing I'll ever use it for.

Sold a PS just yesterday b/c of this game, and a date hasnt even been announced. Ill be buying one w/ tax return. SE not bringing this to the U.S. would be like them saying "we dont like money." Im expecting to sell more PSPs just b/c of this game.

I just had him hit higher leveled characters for awhile. That got him up to speed.

Aside from Finishing Touch, however, all of his techs had AWFUL charge times.

I hope they give Balthier a real role, as opposed to Cloud's. And I hope they don't just change Mustadio's name to Balthier lol. FFT rawks, I'm really happy they're bringing it back. I already have a PSP, though it was a gift (Metal Gear is good, too).

I was under the impression that Ivalice is a kind of a Link/Zelda thing... always the same name, but never the same world. I haven't finished FF12 yet, though... is there some connection made?

Wasn't the setting and story for FFXII pulled from the tactics universe?

So therefore, theoretically the events from FFXII "Might" be able to co-incide with the newest Tactics storyline?

I might be stretching it by assuming they could have some relation.
