Question about speed dialers

SO I just got a new job but it requires calling in for shifts. Calling in is really competetive and it happens at a certain time, when this time rolls around their phone system gets hammered and all I ever get is a busy signal, by the time I get through there's no more shifts available. I know there are speed dialer things for phones but I don't have a land line, just a cell phone. I was wondering if anyone knew of some kind of internet phone or some kind of speed dialing program for the internet? I know there's gotta be something I just don't know what or where to look for. Anyone know anything I could get? >_< Thanks!

Sounds shady as all hell.

Any "job" that forces you to compete for potential shifts is a scam.

Do yourself a favor and look for anything more reliable that what you think you have now.

Seriously, even you are making 20+ dollars an hour, if you cant work on account of not getting any shifts, I would suggest taking any job that will net you 12+ dollars an hour after taxes.

But hey, this is only "advice" take it or leave it.

imho, I would never try to work for any employer that forced you to call in for shifts.

I'm a banquet server at the Venitian in Vegas :/ It pays nice as fuck, dinners can net you up to 80 an hour. The problem is so many people are up there trying to get shifts since it's worth so much money. I get some shifts automatically, since I'm on B-list so I get a steady 20 hours a week but it's nice to get a few extra shifts here and there. Anyways, I've been asking on like every forum I go to and scouring the web and I can't really find anything on these speed dialers.Fucking lame :/

Try Skype? You need to buy credit to call land lines, but you basically hit a button and it'll speed dial for you.
