“The main character Jewel has a special relationship with Mack, the robot character in the video, because Mack actually found Jewel at the beginning of the game,” Pacini explained. “So you prolong this relationship throughout the whole game. He’s actually part of a faction that’s trying to help you bring back humanity to the planet. And there’s this whole other faction of robots that don’t want that to happen.

Inafune added, “One of the big features of the game is that the scenery completely changes after a sandstorm, which actually affects the maps in the gameplay. In this world, there are very few humans, and this girl is all by herself. As you can see, she has one companion robot. As you continue on this adventure, you are going to meet other companions, as well as enemies. The game’s main theme focuses on how she is going to survive in this world.

“During the fight with the robots, Mack was defeated, but his core remained. Mack’s consciousness still remains in the core, and by implanting the core into another robot, Mack’s consciousness will also be implanted and Mack will live on in another form.”

The more I see of ReCore, the more I want it honestly. Very Metroid Prime-y feel from this game which I have sorely missed (coughNintendocough).

The game has a good crop of people involved and the 40 buck price tag is super appealing. Hopefully the PC version isn't fucked

First gameplay trailer came during E3, but it was also playable there and I don't think I saw a bad thing said about the game from anyone who played it.

Some of the jumping scenes in that trailer looked bad, like "wow ok well go with it i guess" bad, but I like mostly everything else. I'm getting a gi-muthafucking-gantic feeling from the gameplay videos that this is basically Beastmaster, digital edition.

Microsoft Play Anywhere/cross-buy/whatever it's called is only available if you buy from the Microsoft store/marketplace I thought?
