I hate how all the computer labs at my school have monitors with a natural resolution of 1280 x 1024, but everyone insists on keeping the monitors at 1024 x 768, even though the aspect ratios are different, hence distorting the image on the screen. I know, random.

At our school, we can't do change the resolution because they think it is "harmful" to the computer. We cannot do a lot of stuff, majority of websites are blocked and our computer labs have cameras in them. (people were stealing stuff in the past)

But our computers are set at 1024x768 lol

At my school (last year, I graduated), nearly everything was blocked. ANY site having to do with games was blocked. And the monitors were set at 800x600! Beat that!

When I was your age we didn't even have an "internet"! If you wanted to look something up, you used an encyclopedia. We also didn't have any of these fancy-schmancy "video games". The only game we had was "watch the grass grow", and we liked it because we had no other choice but to like it. You kids with your radio and photo-radio, you learn nothing. Why, when I was your age, I had to walk 20 miles to school in 15 feet of snow up hill both ways, you should be thankful for your global warming.

But seriously, when I was in high school, we had Apple ][e's. Mostly because my school was dirt poor. And Al Gore didn't get around to inventing the internet until I was in college.

we got a bunch of new lcd monitors here running 1600x1200 on p4 2ghz dells

we just need to hax them to work them to what we want

Our computer animation lab just got a face lift at my college. We have dual 19 in. flat screen monitors (2 for every PC in the room) and the kind of ram and processors that you can write home to mom about. I forget the specs on the computers because they're not mine, but I was rendering in Premiere on one monitor and playing in Maya on the other. Neither program crashed either. But those are some pretty goodly PCs.
