Apple Equivalent

Help me out I'm tyring to find something similar to this product:

I'm sure the hardware would work on Apple, it's just the software that would cause problems.

yeh that's what I told my friend but he said something about Apple only working with Firewire or something, or the software is used to get the videos onto the compy. I still stick to it being able to work even on an apple system since it's USB.

He's saying something about fcp requireing an extremely high transfer rate that USB can't support. I'm assuming fcp is some apple thing. He wants to know how you know that it will work.

Apple has USB 2.0, and firewire is not as fast as USB 2.0, so whatever your friend is saying is probably wrong.

Don't forget firewire 800 which blows USB2.0 out of the water.
