    Too be far, there are actaully two seperate internets.

    However its more of a global WAN for government use.

    Edit: just watched the video, that Internet2 thing is just seperate part of 'the internet', the government one is completely different. One of my professors has a Marine buddy that works on it a bit, but I dunno how really to descriped it, Its best to just say its a WAN, but it literally covers the whole globe. It can access anything on the internet, but its impossible to connect to it from the outside. Dude said he transfered a 7gb file from US to Iraq in 2minutes.
