So next weekend, my fiance and i are going to atlanta to visit a friend of her's. Pretty much we wanted to know where are the worthwhile spots to eat, and visit while we are there. We'll be driving there, so we'll be able to drive around.

Eat at the Vortex, either of the locations is fine. The aquarium is awesome if you're into that stuff. High Museum of Art if you're into that.
Campania was pretty amazing when I visited.

Check out the World of Coke and meet the Polar Bear. The Georgia Aquarium is also a must do. If you are into sports, check out the college football hall of fame.
Depends on what you want to do, Atlanta has a lot more to offer than people realize. Check out what's going on at the Fox Theater and at the Tabernacle, both pretty awesome venues. The High is very good, if they still have the Vik Muniz exhibition I highly recommend it. I don't much care for the Aquarium/Coke museum but if that's your thing go for it. The botanical gardens is nice.
For hipsters meet the ghetto in the most curious way, check out little five points. That entire area around Virginia Highland, and Inman park is gentrified to all hell so lots of sodosopa style shops and restaurants. Of note is a place near Inman Park called Barcelona, great wine and tapas.
For late night bar hopping check out the Buckhead bars. Everything from your typical bar (Buckhead Saloon) to rooftop fancy lounges (Whiskey Blue).
PM me if you have any questions. Enjoy your trip
A coworker recommended me somewhere named Mary Mac's Tea Room. Anyone heard of that place? Also we're passing by Soupa Saiyan in orlando on the way, which is a dbz themed ramen restaurant.
Clermont Lounge. If you do nothing else, go there.
Thirding Clermont Lounge. Another unique nighttime hang would be Drunken Unicorn/MJQ Concourse.
Stone Mountain is also nearby, and the laser show they do should be seen at least once in your life.
