Because Iris is his sister, and Noct x Iris is the best pairing. Come at me.
"I'm okay, and she won't have to wait much longer...we'll be together soon." - Noctis "Guard the king with our lives...that's the way it's always been." - Gladiolus "Y'know, Noct, this almost feels like a date." - Best Girl* Iris
*Best girl is actually Aranea, but Iris is best shipped girl.
Noctis, Crown Prince of the Kingdom of Lucis, was on the eve of a wedding meant to signify the end of an ongoing conflict with the Empire of Niflheim. He set off with three of his closest friends in the Regalia, his father’s convertible. Unaware of the real reason his father sent him from the Crown City, Noctis had begun the first leg of an epic journey to find his calling.

Honestly, people are going to be a little itchy to pull here considering this is XV's first real banner. This event does only carry one banner, and there are some decent items on it, but wouldn't you rather wait for Aranea's event?
There is a 3rd LM on the banner, which essentially removes a SBB from the pool.
Banner 1:
King to be Noctis has his overtuned OSB return. Yes, it is a potent 1500% non element hit with triple cast speed as long as the stoneskin effect remains on him. The problem is keeping stoneskin up on higher level content.
Noctis also gains (IMHO) a much better burst than his OSB, 10 hits of ST physical on entry with a generally stackable Atk/Def/Res boost. Cmd1 is 2 ST hits with 2 charges of 3x casting speed, and Cmd 2 is self stoneskin and ether. His SSB is a "HADOKEN"-ish (down, right, fierce) party noncharge with some physical damage.
Iris gets a modified version of Larsa's BSB (on a THROWING WEAPON no less...) trading some of Larsa's cure potency (down to a Cura) for stoneskin and keeping the astra effect. Her commands are the same as Y'shtola's. Her SSB is mixed, offering 5 hits of non element AoE mnd based damage with party haste and crit fix.
Gladio, being the brutish shield, is of course representative of the earth element. His OSB is a gradient buildup based on hits taken and is earth/non. Of note, is that his OSB weapon is a natural fire boost AND a realm synergy earth boost. His BSB is standard entry fare (earth/non AoE). Cmd1 is an earth version of Guardbringer, dealing up to 5 hits based on Gladio's def. Cmd2 is an earth/non double hit with sentinel. His SSB is the realm last stand and atk boost - for the moment.
Legend Materias:
Banner 1 - Noctis: 25% chance to double cast combat abilites.
Banner 1 - Gladiolus: 30% chance to cover w/ a 20% damage reduction.
Banner 1 - Iris: 25% chance to cdouble cast white mage abilities.
Notes: A couple AoE's for newer players to worry about (since this is possibly the reason for the "newcomer" events), so bring both magic and physical mitigation.
Notes: Much like the bandersnatch, Naga also packs some mixed AoE attacks. She can also go underground and make herself invulnerable until she resurfaces.
Most of his attacks can be taunted, but the dangerous ones cannot. As he gets lower in HP (70% and lower), will begin to use a defense ignoring AoE increasingly more often the lower his HP goes.
Declaration of War (U++) 凶MA-X Cuirass (w/ Magitek Axeman) HP: HP: MA-X Cuirass: 261,597 - Axeman: 43,615 Target Score:

Attack (PHY: AOE 159% physical)
Attack (PHY: ST 188% physical)
Attack (PHY: ST 266% physical)
Attack (PHY: RT 89% physical, 3 hits)
Notes and Strategies: The initial 2 axemen will only respawn once, for 4 total. Their lower HP makes it easier to AoE them down if you just can't deal with the incoming damage.
The armor has 2 magic based lightning attacks, but the rest of its arsenal is physical attacks.
Cid Mission: You only need to bring Noctis here, so even if you have the Engine Blade or nothing at all, slow him with some combat abilities and just use him as a DD.
Ancient God (Apocalypse +) 滅Tital HP: 467,238 Target Score:
Reduce 滅Titan's attack.
Reduce 滅Titan's defense.
Reduce 滅Titan's resistance.
Weak: None Absorbs: None Resist: All Null: None Vulnerabilities: Stun
(V Weak only) なぎ払い (PHY: AOE 300% physical)
(V Weak only) Hammer Punch (PHY: ST 422% physical)

(V Weak only) Roar (NAT: AOE 400% ranged physical)
(V Weak only) 凶 Roar (NAT: AOE 400% piercing0.5 physical)
Notes and Strategies: 100% physical fight.
Nothing fancy, just note that Titan hits hard. His stats don't increase as he weakens, but his def ignoring attacks do, reaching 400% potency AoE when in Very Weak phase. So stacking mitigation debuffs is the order of the day.
Jump Start Notes: See above. Cloud USB may be slightly more difficult to exploit, needing 3 imperils before any elemental weakness can be exploited. Stacking mitigations (especially def reducing ones for JS) are the order of the day if going that the neutral OSB/Cloud USB route.

And changed the Noct SSB qualifier. At face value it seemed just okay, as I was unaware of how japanland viewed it as most of the debate was about Noct's OSB being worthwhile or not.
