!
I don't think we need another Buffy, the first series was good enough.
And aren't teens tired of vampires by now?
Still, I won't complain if it's actually good. I just have more loyalist feelings to the original series than usual because even though I saw it for the first time as an adult, it was a fantastic show.
this will be terrible
I'd rather a continuation centered on one of the new slayers spawned at the later half of the last season than to just reboot. Cleveland still had a Hellmouth, after all.
Not sure how I feel it being rebooted, but hey if we go by past works of Whedon, if it gets cancelled in first season then we know its an amazing reboot. There is the comic series published by dark horse comics. Picks up right where finale ended and its an interesting read. Whedon himself wrote several of the issues and he supervised the project. Considered canon, they were broken into arcs aptly named Season 8, 9, and 10.
The article makes me optimistic. The producer they are targeting was involved in Alias, Fringe, and Revolution. Also Lost, I never watched it but it was a popular show for a while. I loved Fringe and Revolution. I hope it is great.
Writer Monica Owusu-Breen Suggests this is a Continuation of the Series, 20 Years Later

I'm down if it's a continuation. But they'd better bring Anya back. (Never read the comics, so if she did already, whee)

Anya was definitely one of the best parts of the series. (My favorite character was Spike though).
