Saving space on a Samsung tab

So I’m an Apple guy not android.

Now uncle has a 16GB tab, and he’s out of space.

I put a micro Sd in it and transferred apps to it, but most stay in the system memory. He has no music no pictures and no videos

Is there something else I can look? He has like 15GB used for the system itself

recent versions of android allow you to format SD cards as "internal"/system storage, that way you can usually free up some more space on the on board storage. If that's not available you're mostly out of luck aside from removing apps since android can't (or doesn't want to) completely move apps and their data from the protected system partition to the "unsafe" external storage.

Sounds like some of those apps are tying up storage with temp/cache files or other downloads, which can wind up treating the wasted space like it's part of the system since it's part of the app. You'd need to ask him about the apps he uses and go through each one to see what's being a space hog and either clear cache or clear data. 'Clear data' wipes everything and makes the app start fresh, not ideal for some things but might be necessary. There's a lot of apps that try to automate this but they're pretty much all just vehicles for spamming you with ads over something you'd want to do manually like this anyway. Some popular apps build a lot of ad caches overtime, bloating themselves.
