No one wants this.

Poor Joaquin Phoenix is going to need multiple back surgeries carrying a sequel to an already shitty version of Taxi Driver.
what's the point? If flashpoint takes place in the same story continuity than Justice league and all the other recent movies Batman will just beat him to death in a 20 sec. fight scene because the Joker from that movie was a total bitch...
Just grow some balls and do Batman (Death)Metal if they want to do multiverse stuff so bad...
Yes i know but if they are going with the multiverse thing and add him to the movie universe its just silly because it was just some random depressed crazy dude with face paint
It's a means to bring all of DC's live action properties under one umbrella. Like the CW shows will be part of the multiverse.

I'm a bit mixed. On one hand I loved the first movie and Arthur's fall into madness but on the other I thought the first movie wrapped itself up nicely.
not really sure what I think about this also. As Corrderio said, the first movie was a great stand alone film and this version of the joker wasn't the deranged super villian most iterations of the joker played.
Doesn't need a sequel. WB/DC fucking up again.

On the one hand, the trailer looks interesting, both Phoenix and Gaga are good actors
On the other hand, meeeeehhhhhhhh did the first Joker really leave anyone wanting more?

im not a DC guy, but i feel like he did such a good job with it that id be interested in the 2nd
I'm really trying hard not to feel this way, but the first felt really pretentious, and I can't really defend my position as to why. I don't think there was really any place for the character to go that would be interesting. And doubly so being a musical. Just...meh. I'll watch it on HBO when it's free.
200 million dollar budget plus about another 100-150 million for marketing. Yikes.
I was one of the people that hated the first one. Won't be paying to see this in the movies. If this flops, dunno, Bad news for WB I guess.
Normal man David Zaslav will just more projects for tax breaks.
looks decent and both leads are terrific actors, prolly give it a shot. first one wasn't terrific but thought it a lot better than 90% of the cooker cutter Marvel shit that gets churned out. with the superhero product worse than ever hope this is weirder than ever. good or bad at least it won't be so fucking boring
