There's 4 factions you can choose from, and you can help build up that faction while protecting it from raids from other factions. I haven't been playing as much because there's no real endgame to minecraft, just build and build then pretty much nothing after that. If anyone else agrees maybe we can take mine1/hell down and start up a faction versus faction setup.

Try a higher resolution texture pack and see if that fixes the problem Kuno. You can get high quality vanilla texture packs too if you don't like any of the other ones.

Got a higher res texture pack, still same bug. Apparently turning off AA fixes it, but even with it off it still looks borked.

Does anyone know about how large (file size) a world/map has to get to get the terrain generator to start glitching out? I think Notch mentioned that it's when it starts saving new chunks over old chunks...
