Is it just me, or have all three of the last version updates mentioned "Conclusion of WotG"? I haven't bothered with the storyline- outside of Magian trials I regret buying the expansion period as I simply haven't bothered with it (might someday, but for now, nada).

I just feel like they've been saying the conclusion for 18 months now.

Two updates ago: Conclusion to the WotG nation quests. All pretty good, but San d'Oria lagged behind the others.
Last update: First half of the conclusion to the main WotG missions.
This coming update: Second half of the conclusion to the main WotG missions.

Thanks for the clarification. Some day, when I'm done with the other 25 things I want to do in this game with my limited playtime I'll sit down and actually do those missions. I hear great things about the plot, I just had no interest in the expansion once I bought it.

Well not yet. You pretty much find Cait Sith and she doesn't really know what to do. You go to Walk of Echoes with her and speak with Atomos who tells you that there's a way to save Lilisette by collecting some memory fragments. The rest of the missions are a bunch of quests that reward you with different kinds of fragments and once all are recovered you bring them to the spring in Grauberg where the pixies tell you that Lilisette will be "reborn" but it'll take a while. The missions ended here.

Is it generally agreed that the final rewards from the nation quests are a disappointment? I haven't played in a while.

From a RDM's perspective they're very situational pieces that depend on subjob and what you're up against. Sometimes I can't be bothered to take them out of satchel simply because the main inventory is clogged up enough as it is.

The windurst (s) ring is pretty epic for mages and cor's (3% day bonus for magic damage). Not sure how the other ones are by comparison-

I use the windurst ring on BLM, and I would probably use it on COR and SCH if I leveled those jobs. I don't use it on RDM, though, because of all the other stuff I do on the job. Can't spare the space.

The Bastok ring is good, though not for its intended use. I'm guessing the attack +8 means they wanted DRKs to full-time the thing. Makes sense when you consider how much of the spotlight Zeid got in the quests.

Sandy ring is lol. I mean, it's okay, but considering all the other things you can get for the slot in an oh-shit set, it's pretty lame.

I thought the missions last patch were pretty lame.

They told us that to be able to defeat the Spitewardens, the Wings of the Goddess (You + Lilisette) need to be together, so they send you on this dumb fetch quest to get all of Lilisette's memories. Then at the end, I'm pretty sure the fairy says that she cannot truly be completely revived until you defeat the Spitewardens and Lilith. Uh, okay, well thanks for that totally pointless interlude SE. They could've at least TRIED to mask the fact that they were dragging this storyline out as much as they could before ending it.

I expect that the final battle will involve Lilisette's "spirit" helping you out or something similarly silly like that.

I find it hard to get excited when there's no tension. Here's the ending guys:

Since enemy critical hit rate is floored in abyssea the sandy ring technically(with merits or without if it's extra strong) makes you 99.9999999999999999% immune to crits so there is technically a use for it.
