I just jumped in on a JP slime party, and they had ~6 with a BST out of party. The BST wasn't around for most of the killing. I avoided going upstairs because I didn't want to screw up their run. We're they likely having the BST use a pet to sac pull? It was the PLD, not the BST bringing the boss down the stairs. If they were indeed having the BST pet sac pull, would the BST need to die as a result each pull? Would this work with a SMN pet?

Pretty sure pet pulling doesnt work but never acually tried it. Since they have alliance/party hate im sure they would still come after the smn even after avatar dying. The pld was just out there pulling the boss of the bst as he aggroed the bunch. Aslong as he pulls the boss slime away before bst dies then the rest wont aggro.

OT: Do you get TEs while doing Bastion? Or best way to earn resistance credits? Would duoing in abyssea be feasible to get decent EXP? i.e. DD+RDM combo or something.

No TEs from bastion. Bastion is definitely the easiest/fastest way to get RC, by far, though you can get small amounts from other quests too.

In all honesty, I think Koenig is still an all-around better shield, but it doesn't really matter because if you have hate as PLD, your group sucks.

Better than STP assuming your sitting on TP for a while (kited fight) or not TPing on some other random weak mob, probably worse than STR or the fake Emp Fudo GKT.

Quoting myself... after the sac pull, do slimes patrol down to the death spot of the boss? I just realized maybe the BST was off soloing adds. After the three bosses were dead, there were no more slimes up on the top level.
