How good is the international version
FFX-2 is the only FF I couldn't finish and I wanna finish it one day.
Think it's worth it or really fuck FFX-2?

There's 2 extra dress spheres and another game mode that works like a Mysterious Dungeon game. They also tweaked the effects of a few things like Catnip. Nobody has a translation guide for the Last Mission part yet, and nobody has made a translation patch, so I suppose it depends on your understanding of Japanese. Gameplay hasn't changed, they just added a few things.
It took me a long time to get past the j-pop bubblegum coating but honestly if you give it a chance and focus more on the side missions to flesh out the story it gets so much better. The thing is if you try to just power through it in like 25-30 hrs it feels like such a shallow game with barely any story.
It has the second best battle system in the series after FFXIII and that alone is reason enough to play it. I don't give a damn about girly/j-popping characters and light-hearted story if the gameplay is fun. It's a game worth of its title.
The International version doesn't really add much. One of the new dresspheres is plain useless, but the other one is decent, though Mascot is still better imo.
The extra dungeon is kind of boring too.
The International version also allows you to capture monsters and characters and replace YRP with them. They are AI controlled though and you can only influence them somehow by adding/removing abilities and using a certain job with them.
There's also a tournament thing accessed through Shinra's menu.
Stopped reading right there. You didn't have to spam X in the other games? In any case, good luck getting past a lot of fights doing that etc dead horse.SaviorSelf
Int'l version offers some cool new features compared to the original x-2 but not enough to make you have to play intl as opposed to the normal one imo..
the gameplay is pretty indepth in that theres really so many ways to build your team to play well...
if you know your stuff, the normal game shouldn't pose much of a challenge and the extra stuff will be pretty fun to attempt. Via Infinito is quite something. Also, the way the game is designed makes it so that even if you've powered thru the extra stuff you won't exactly go back to normal content as gods. The limitations on the extremities of the game are very well placed in that sense...
Also, I think it's quite a fun challenge if you'er going to try doing extra stuff without Cat Nip.
Is it even possible to do without catnip? <_<; I mean geez, I remember being attacked by one of the giant dragons in via infinito, thinking my catnip ready gunner rikku would tear through em... and was promptly one shot with a flame attack to whole party for obsene damage well over my HP.
I learned to dodge those things like my life depended on it. lol
lol must've been those red dragon things. I didn't start messing with those until I knew I could kill them in two turns otherwise you're likely to get killed.
Also fuck the haters, FFX-2 is def one of my fav final fantasies.
You can't use a catnip gunner in Intl, catnip inflicts berserk and slow, which cannot be removed.
I tried running the game on Emulator but I cannot run this game for shit
FFX and FFXII works #1 but this game,
1) Lots of frickle in movies (I heard alot of people got this problem but nothing work for me)
2) Inside the game it keeps freeze for like 10sec each minute or so.
Annoys me to no end
