Made a huge male orc, equipped a 2 handed battle axe and crept up behind a bear and sank the shit straight into the bears face....
best...game.....ever.
Oh.. what little i played last night..2 influcences from Fallout i am loving.
The lockpicking and the final blow kills slow mo kills....love them. I cant wait till i can decapitate people.
You know what we need? A mod to disable helm graphics.
My computer fucked up on me yesterday. How's Skyrim?
Agreed, why would I ever make a waifu if I can't see her face? Shit game I give it a 1/10 etc
Spoiler: show
I wish there was a way to hotkey "weapon sets," like hotkey 1 to sword/shield, 2 to bow, 3 to x spell and y spell, etc. The favorite system is still too slow for me when I'm switching between my bow and dagger almost every encounter.
The shout "Storm Call" is wayyyy overpowered. I love it so.
More playtime will be needed to give a better review ... but so far the combat feels better then the other TES games. It is also my understanding that the magic side of things is greatly improved. While the menus are clunky i am hoping that turning off the controller option tonight will help some of that.
The game is also great looking. The world itself is very well designed, the menus (while being a bitch to navigate) look great and being able to see every item in detail is nice. The charactor models may be love it or hate it. They look much better then the ones in Oblivian and the animations are much smoother. They are, however, not close to perfect.
As with any open world sandbox game there are some concessions you have to make. You do get a 10 fold return on the amount of freedome offered...so all in all it is worth it for some minor annoyances.
Thank goodness for keyboards. The menu is easy to navigate when you have a button for everything.
Combat is more fluid and involved than previous TES games, Though hack and slash is a valid option.
Just wait till the mods start arriving with kamehamehas, dragon mounts, and super swords
Well hit my first game breaker. If I get anywhere within 100 yards of Solitude, crash to desktop. Already checked my audio that's all good, lowered graphics to the barest of minimums, still blows up. Right at the start of the weekend, shit's weak.
3rd person is pretty good. Makes the game 100x better for me.
Something is off about the mouse+kb controls... gonna play with a pad instead.
Anyone figure out the cure to vampirism?
absolutely loving the game so far. no complaints really, just gotta adjust to change after years of oblivion
Yep okay figured this out. To view your status ailments or buffs you have to go to the Magic menu, then look at effects or whatever. Using the little shrine inside a temple will cure them.
I turned the 360 pad option off in the menu and nothing I do will let me hit "Yes" to wait or sleep still. Guess it's a bug.Can anyone on PC get the sleep/wait timer function to work? I can't seem to. When I set a certain amount of hours to sleep/wait hitting enter does nothing, and clicking on "yes" does nothing. Not sure what the deal is.
Edit: Found out it was working all along, just didn't see there's no confirmation of any kind so if the daylight doesn't shift much you can't even tell time passed. Hitting enter makes time passage start.
Anyone know where to find a fence to sell stolen goods to early in the game?
