Nov. 24 Version Update Delayed

The all Worlds maintenance and version update previously scheduled to start at Nov. 24, 2010 13:00 (PST) has been postponed to allow for additional version update preparations. We will post another news article to inform you of the revised schedule by Nov. 24, 2010 5:00 (PST).

We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.

I sense never-ending rage about to ensue in this thread.

Edit: Personally I'm not ready to go into rage mode quite yet, I know how massive this update is and they probably just found some critical bug at the last minute. Under normal circumstances, a patch this big would have been spread out over 3-4 patches. So hopefully tomorrow we'll get some good news that it's only delayed by like a day or so.

That's a bummer, I had nothing to do for the next couple of days...

not that I'm playing but I see this as being a semi bad move on their part, (obviously though it was probably something unforseen). They set this up for a time most people were going to be off of work/school and could take time to try and enjoy the update. Now it may miss that mark.

not saying it's doom to fail because of it, just shitty situation they got themselves into.

To give them the benefit of the doubt, the update was actually originally stated to be "tentatively on the 25th". They actually ninja bumped it up to the 24th. So they could just be going back to their original plan. But it would have been smarter of them to not bump it to the 24th, and then release it a day early if they were able to without telling anyone.

Probably a last-minute bug they discovered that was critical and needed immediate attention. Better a smooth update than a bumpy one with multiple maintenances.

Considering that they didn't announce it until today, that says to me that they thought there was a chance they'd make it on time, and were holding out hope until the last minute. Which means it probably won't be a big delay, and it's just a slight schedule drift.

They rushed the release of the game, and look where got them. This time around, they really need to do everything right when it comes to updates.

And judging by SE's decision to delay the update they are well aware of this.

Based on the EU and JP pages, it looks like the NA page messed up and it should be the 25th and not the 26th for the new time.
