the 'improper benefits' were trading autographs for tattoo work. lame. but the kids that go to bowl games get all kinds of free shit and manage to never get in trouble.

Was the tattoo thing from 2009? If so, then that may be it, but from what I'm reading online, they traded old bowl game shit and sold all that.

idk, all I heard was about the tattoo thing on Mike and Mike this morning. Still, getting free shit at bowl games isn't any worse a 'violation' than that is...NCAA picks and chooses what situations are ok, see Cam Newton ruling earlier this month lol

They're letting the 'star' players play these bowl games, then will handle it after the year's over. You know they want ratings, and a Pryor-less OSU won't get ratings.

I'll admit I haven't paid much attention to San Diego St. this year, but Brady Hoke seems to be the real deal on mid-major coaches. He had Ball State playing at a very high level (relative to their program) a few years back, and Ball State instantly went back to shit when he left. San Diego State was horrible I believe when he went there, and they seem to be decent in his 2nd year there by beating a good Navy team.
