    Framerate issues in WoW

I'm having issues while playing WoW that I haven't had before. Even when I'm using the lowest settings I will sometimes experience a long period where my fps goes to shit/non existant during fights with more than a couple of mobs. (especially when I attack a group of mobs with an aoe such as Hammer of the Righteous. That one in particular seems to lag me more than any other.)

It seemed to affect my USB headphones (logitech g35) at first as well by having sounds start crackling up and eventually there would be nothing but loud static, but those seem to have broken in the process (idk if there's a connection between the two but it sure was timely, and my soundcard connected speakers have been lagging slightly along with the fps when flying around crowded areas so I figured it would be worth mentioning).

I've installed the latest drivers and took the card out to dust it off (didn't have much dust) and made sure it wasn't overheating. Running out of ideas though and would love to avoid having to toss out money atm. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated!

Try putting your 9800 in another PCI-e slot on your computer.
