A gunman who opened fire at a school board meeting and then exchanged shots with a security guard has killed himself, police said. Witnesses said the gunman walked up to a podium, spray painted a red 'V' with a circle around it and began firing.

An editorial decision was made by News13 to cut off the video when shots were fired at the gunman. After the video ends, the gunman, now identified as Clay Allen Duke, was taken down by safety officer Mike Jones. Duke then turned his gun on himself. He has now died from what appeared to be his self-sustained injuries. No one else was injured in the building, but Safety Officer Jones was taken to the hospital with chest pains. He is listed in stable condition.
