    Final fantasy 1 on ipod

Kinda wanna buy it but have questions for it

    1) is 8.99 worth it of it
    2) is the game fun?
    3) I heard that the controls are semi bad what are your thoughts about it.
    4) Does it have the special dungeons like in the ds version
    5) if I buy it for iPad and use the 2x format is it good or too much zoomed

    Thx

Don't have experience with the iTouch variant of it, but I'll put my opinion on the game out there. It's pretty fun, if you like classic DQ type stuff. Not much story though, and it doesn't really tell you where to go next so you either have to know, use a guide, or talk to a lot of npcs. Game isn't too hard. I liked it, but you can emulate it easily GBA style or something. I bought Dawn of Souls (GBA port of 1&2) for about 15 bucks, was pretty worth it. Also the Special Dungeons are very nice, the one with the FFVI bosses was pretty long.

    1) It's a bit pricey at 9 bux.. I bought it and FF2 when they were on sale half-price a while back.
    2) I'm about 60% done with it and it's not bad for an old-old-school game with redone graphics. I also haven't done all the extra dungeons that they added from the Gameboy version yet.
    3) I actually think the controls are pretty damn good for being touch-only. There are moments when they could be more responsive (like when selecting targets for attack/spells/items)
    4) Yes, all of them. And they're fucking hard at low levels lol..
    5) No idea, but I imagine the resolution would scale.

I'm not sure if you'd want to play FFI on iPod.
That game has an astonishingly high random encounter rate so it's not the kind of game that allows you to take frequent breaks.

It's not an issue, really. When you hit the home button, the game basically just pauses wherever you were and resumes when you load up again.

The reason why I would want to get it compared to an emulator is simple

I wanna play when I go work somewhere else like, tomorrow going to work a bit far and will sleep in an hotel so wanted to play at the hotel or in a subway per exemple.

    Bingo.. I'm sadly a purist.

It's not an issue.. you technically don't have to save your progress as much because you can simply hit the home button, and come back in to the point you left off by launching the game again and choosing resume from the game menu. You can also literally "run away" from fights this way too, and your resume point will be before the encounter.
