Firing/letting the WR coach walk was a bad idea imo. Look at who he worked with, and how well miles and dez have been doing (with regards to expectation, noone expected an UFA to have back to back 1k seasons), along with coaching Jerry Rice and T.O.

He coached Moss too. It might of been mutual, they didn't go into details. He interviewed for HC and his contract was up, maybe he wanted to go be OC somewhere again. But he did cause the WR revolt when TO and Crayton got all up in Garrett's grill, I don't think Red J appreciated that. I'd like to think it was Garrett's decision to let him walk and he hired Rob Ryan so I can have some modicum of hope that Jerry is relinquishing some power.

Edit: I think I'd rather Garrett be the one developing Dez, he needs more discipline, not a buddy like Ray Sherman was to the WR.
