Verrrry tasty.
Verrrry tasty.
I hope there are eventually more playable characters than just Serah and Noel... I don't know how they would do that if it's Noel that allows the charming/summoning of monsters. Having a fucking Behemoth on your team sounds very fun either way.
edit: herp derp, I forgot you obviously play with Lightning as you can see in the trailer fighting Chaos Bahamut. I smell fights with "chaos" versions of all the summons, FFX style... I feel like it's going to be this story that keeps bouncing back and forth between Serah/Noel on Pulse and Lightning in wherever she is.

Crystogen points are back so I'm assuming the Crystarium also is. Now the result screen shows Gil and no TP.

I could definitely do without how TP worked in XIII... no complaints with that screenshot. Here's to hoping that the Crystarium isn't so linear this time and ends up more like License Boards/Sphere Grids.
Don't mind the monster system too much. I've actually been playing a game similar where you have 2 main characters, and then 2 monsters. The game had a heavy focus on the 2 characters. If FFXIII-2 takes advantage of this and does well on character development, I can see this being a good game. Music sounds great~ I've been replaying the trailer over and over.
Trailer was badass. I hope they added a bit more to the battle system than QTEs. With just a few minor fixes it could go from an extremely limiting battle system to an awesome one... wouldn't be surprised if they still left those major flaws in there though.
If you check the trailer again you can see monsters and something called Feral Link so I'd say the battle system has been changed a bit. Can't wait for more info.
Also the Preemptive Strike seems to work in a different way this time and both Serah and Noel were attacking.
Preemptive strike looks pretty nice; you run up and attack them to start it, apparently. Hopefully they'll step away from the "touch enemy - >> SMASHING GLASS ->> fight it out!" approach.
Looks like they got town with npcs and open areas, so far so good
Decision making? In MY Final Fantasy?
That's exactly what I was thinking. One way or another, though, it looks better than what we had before.
I'm still wondering, though; where the fuck is Snow? I can't imagine he'd be happy with letting some young Androgynie hang around his "wife" after spending such a long and painstaking adventure just to be able to crush that at will once more.
Edit: Mass Effect, in MY Final Fantasy? Fosrs?!!
Lightning is dead? I hope she is.
Decision making, lolz...
Yep, shit's getting bought.
Do I see a map that is not a straight line? Whoa.
Game is due for December in Japan. FFXIII getting updated to include Easy mode for free.

Honestly I don't think it's a coincidence that all the main characters from FFXIII are nowhere to be seen. I guess the plot will involve time travel or something like that.
