Aren't they going to veer away from the Alien creature plot for the sequel? That does make sense and is a good idea, considering the last three involving the Alien creature were shit. AvRR, AvP, and AR specifically.

So basically the lead up to the first movie. Been waiting for Space Jockey lore for awhile!

Let's rip off this robots head and beat everyone to death and then sprint as fast as i can to an escape pod just to make sure i killed all these fucking wierdo's on my planet for no reason whatsoever. It seemed as if the weapons had turned on the Engineers. Why then would the last remaining Engineer still want to carry out its mission of destroying Earth? Seemed very pointless to me.

From what I understand of the Aliens expanded universe, there are good Engineers and some bad ones. I took it as the one that was in status was a bad one. and he killed the ones that went there to stop him. He is the one that has it in for us on Earth. Maybe this was his little brothers science project and he wanted to stomp on it.

Oh and I read somewhere Ridley Scott **HATES** Aliens vs. Preditor, lol.
Tidbit the Predator race's name is Yautja.

Whole purpose of the original Alien was that they detected a possible SOS from what we know now as Prometheus.
As far as the eggs goes, Prometheus flat out stated the vases were evolving organisms. No stretch of the imagination to state these same vases were the eggs in Alien, no queen required.

No The company sent them (The Nostromo from Alien) to LV-426 to checkout the SOS (Their robot guy was bad he had orders to bring something/it back.). Then they put a colony (Alien) there and sent THEM to check it out. Then the Marines went there their robot was good. Prometheus went to LV-223, a different planet. Their robot was shady at best. I think David was just trying to run his own side experiments most likely on orders. And trying to read everything I see Jicent already said some of that sorry.

The Engineers DNA was first breaking down but as the scene was ending they showed the DNA re-bonding into a new sequence as it floated through the water and then the transition to cells dividing. The general idea is that the Engineer was sacrificing himself to begin new life on another planet. Some people think it was Earth, some think they did this on many planets.

When David was on the bridge and opened up the holo computer with all the stars/planets, there was text around a lot of them. I took that as info on all the experiments they were running all over. So again maybe one was a terrorist and wanted to mess everything up.
