I'm sure the game will eventually see the light of day (on the "PS4" imo), I'm just trying to rationalize that fragrance announcement bullshit at this particular moment.

Really hope not. Dont want to buy a ps4 for a game that looks like it ran perfectly fine on ps3.

I guess I feel this way about new consoles in general though. Maybe my feelings will change after the reveal and ps4 games look way better then ps3, but I doubt it after seeing games like last of us and that other game from the heavy rain dev.

I believe we've pretty much hit a plateau in that regard, but there's some hardware-intensive technology that will make games visually look better (without increasing development times much through the usual increased polygon counts, animations, or higher-resolution textures) by implementing more photo-realistic algorithms for raytracing, HDR, depth-of-field, motion-blur, water effects, etc. Then there's physics engines which can be insane on their own.



However, with all of that said, I can't imagine this game would go through such in-depth redevelopment to add something like realistic physics. At most, maybe some better lighting and larger draw-distances.

KH has a great battle system so I can't really complain.

Real time open world combat system is probably one of the best things to come to RPGs, sitting there watching a bar fill while my opponent bashes my skull in 3 times before it fills isn't exactly appealing to me anymore.
